ABOUT US

The Georgia Gwinnett College Equestrian Sports Club, as of 2018, offers a different kind of organization not yet found on campus. The club is an exceedingly great opportunity for students familiar with English riding disciplines to engage in a team environment.

The idea for the club started when a couple of students were engaged on a topic of that they shared an interest in: Horses. Soon other students were recruited whom shared the same interest for both the sport and the animal. Before they knew it, there was enough interest in the student body to start the search for members to create the club in 2010. The GGC campus is filled with diverse students of all background and cultures, however many of these students do not know that in many of their classes lurks one of their own kind...a Horse Lover. As an official GGC organization, the Equestrian Sports Club has brought these students together to form an intercollegiate USEA Eventing Team.

The club will allow students with a drive for competing and love for horses to try out for the eventing team and engage in service activities and lessons. Students will be allowed to do everything from brushing a horse to participating in shows and taking lessons at our sponsor barn, Brandywine Equestrian Center. The barn will also be host to our club meetings and events.
